ESEK HOPKINS MIDDLE SCHOOL STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
RISD | PROVIDENCE, RI
An open drainage network is implemented to manage stormwater using sustainable systems that prevent flooding and filter sediments and pollutants from runoff draining into the West River.
Green roof, porous paving, and bioretention systems absorb and slowly release overland water flow and restore habitat. Pedestrian paths guide users to the river’s edge to experience the riparian habitat and wildlife.
