The AltaMed Covina PACE facility will serve up to 400 individuals age 55 years and older and fulfill unmet health needs for many new families moving into the area seeking care for their elders. The facility includes a therapeutic garden which is designed to meet the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the people using the space.
Core Design Concepts:
+ Provide comfort and accessibility that supports the physical needs and abilities of older aduts.
+ Create an environment that affords comfortable and inviting activity areas.
+ Offer an abundance of appealing plants and textures to enhance sensory stimulation
+ Minimize risks by providing safe and secure walking areas with good visual contact to the entrances and exits of the building.
